Kovilpatti

Kovilpatti (கோவில்பட்டி in Tamil), also known as kovilpatti, is a special grade municipality in Thoothukudi District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Belongs to Kovilpatti constituency. Telugu is spoken by majority people in and around Kovilpatti
It is the second largest town in Thoothukudi District. It was the largest taluk in terms of revenue villages in India but recently it was split into Ettayapuram and Kovilpatti Taluks. Now Elaiyarasanendal and some other villages have been added to Kovilpatti taluk.
